An HVAC unit almost ruined my date, but in the end, it actually saved me and I got the girl.
It all started at a fancy restaurant.
My date and I were sitting by an air vent where cool air was coming out from the central air conditioner. My date was cold, So i asked the staff to turn the central air conditioner off. A few minutes later, an employee came out and said that their central air conditioner was malfunctioning, and that the furnace was as well, but in a horrible way. First. The HVAc unit was a zone controlled heating and cooling system, so when the air conditioner or furnace would overheat, the other HVAC unit would. In this case, the central air conditioner was overheating and causing the furnace to catch fie and blow smoke out of the air vents. I was able to rush to the back of the building where the zone controlled heating and cooling system sat, and start working on the central air conditioner. It was very hot and smoky, and I was struggling to fix the central air conditioner and furnace. Finally, I pulled the right plug and the central air conditioner turned off and also put out the fire on the furnace. I sighed in relief. When I walked back into the dining area, everyone stood and clapped and started calling me the HVAc hero. From that day forward, I became well known as a great HVAC technician who specialized in zone controlled heating and cooling systems or central air conditioners that were malfunctioning and causing fires.
