An overheated and dangerous Classroom

School is intended to be a fun way to learn.

However, if the classroom is too sizzling or too cold then it slows down the process for the children in that class. That happened to me when I was teaching a Preschool class 1 time and it was not fun. I had 15 several year olds in a very small classroom and anyone who has ever been around children think that they stay active all the time. All of us went outdoors to the play area and when every one of us came back in the room seemed to be as sizzling as it was outdoors. I evaluated the control component and the display learn 70 degrees, but it felt more enjoy it was over 80 degrees. I informed the manager of the Preschool and she called a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier to make an appointment to have 1 of the air conditioner service techs come out and assess the situation. She moved our class into an empty room where the air conditioner was working correctly while the service techs walked in and out of the room getting to work. The children loved the change of environment and it allowed us to engage in more of a free afternoon to play than anything. It took the rest of the afternoon and into the next day to repair what was broken. My children were saddened when they were told every one of us were moving back into our classroom until they found out the air conditioner was laboring again. All of us always had a lot of fun in our classroom and they wanted to get back to the fun again! I was quite thankful for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service techs for making our classroom an arena the children could get back to reading again.
