Often however, it needs to be an in-depth conversation about what the customer wants; especially if I'm installing new HVAC equipment. Sometimes, I deal with customers that are utterly bored with the conversation. Other times, they just don't seem to understand the most basic concepts that I'm trying to explain to them. How difficult is it to explain to me what you want out of my service? I had just such an awkward encounter recently with a client. It wasn't until I realized that she had a severe hearing problem that I calmed down. She kept turning me around to face her anytime I was talking to her, and I thought she was just being rude. Then, I noticed that she was wearing hearing aids in both ears, and I realized that she needed to see my lips in order to be able to understand what I was saying. Again, I love the working part of HVAC work, but I just prefer to work alone without any human interaction.
