Part of me wants to eventually travel anywhere for a while and get away from this small neighborhood where I’ve been residing for the past three or so years.
- I just took a trip to the States, but now that I am looking at the calendar it was already four months ago.
My mom definitely seems so far away, and the suppers my unbelievable friend and I used to have every week at his condo seems like a lifetime ago. I just don’t fit in the American Dream anymore and when I go back I kind of feel out of place there nowadays… My local contractor friend works so much that he hardly has a minute to see me when I go back, and working for him at his local company is about the only way I get to see him anymore! This is the same story with almost all of my friends and the only people that are easy to visit are the retired folks like my parents and older friends. My mom was a heating supplier and he retired about ten years ago now and he always has time for me when I go to the condo to visit. I just hope my stepMom lives a lot longer so my mom is not left alone with me being way over here doing my thing. I labor for an actual heating and A/C company here part time while I chase my dreams of playing songs in a band. I suppose I will know the fate of our band in the next couple of years and that will give me an unbelievable sign of where I should be residing.
