Clogged drains were damaging our quality air conditioner

I have a rather new heating and cooling equipment that cost me a whole lot.

It has ductwork and everything including a slab base.

Being one of the best equipment in my house, I wanted to ensure that I take great care of it. I remember when I first installed it, I monitored it for a whole month just keeping track of its efficiency or otherwise. Unfortunately, the following month I had to work out of town for 3 months. Therefore I assigned my eldest son the task of ensuring that the HVAC system stays efficient. Little did I know I shouldn’t have trusted him to look out for anything. The most he did was check if the central air conditioning blows hot and cold air whenever he turned it on and off. When I arrived back home, I decided to check if my quality air conditioner was still in good shape. From the filters to the ductwork to the bushes outside, I inspected everything I possibly could. Just as I suspected, the drains were clogged with leaves, nothing could pass through. It wasn’t a major hitch to warrant the attention of an HVAC serviceman and of course, using the air conditioner service plan, so I decided to clean it myself and leave anything major to the HVAC business. I hadn’t even tested the wellness of the actual HVAC technology or the air purifier but cleaning the clogs was enough. I hadn’t lost the good standing with seer ratings but I eventually gave my son a good talk about responsibility and the importance of avoiding budgeting for new HVAC products for sale and the cost of HVAC installation. He was young but eventually, he was going to pay attention to what an HVAC system is and learn more about HVAC.
