I’ve been easily stressed lately & there is no end in sight, however i am working full-time while also trying to help my parents find a locale to rent before they move out here.
I have been talking to realtors & looking at properties on any spare time that I get, some of the locales I have looked at are pretty terrible; The owner’s have neglected the properties & some of them are decades-old.
Some of the renovated locales have cheap materials & stink pretty bad. In our area, the most pressing thing is that the cooling system works great. I am having trouble finding a locale for my parents with wonderful a/c too. I go so far as to crawl up into the crawl spaces of any prospective home or house & make sure that I don’t see any evidence of bugs, mice, or roof disfigure. I found an house that was almost perfect for my parents. It didn’t have any odd stinks & it seemed to have been renovated recently. Then I crawled into the attic & observed that the air duct to the a/c plan had not been sealed in a long time! Air was escaping into the attic. To make matters worse, I could tell that the air duct was entirely dusty because I could see into it. This would not do. The locale my parents move into has to be well diagnosed & not come with pre-existing troubles, my realtor says I am being too picky & that several of these troubles can be fixed before move in! But that is not the point. The point is that if one thing has been neglected (ie the air duct) then who knows what else has been neglected as well?
