My oldest brother and I are hiding the fact that both of us are majorly changing a historic beach house and doing it all ourselves; The largest thing to hide is that both of us want to fix up the air duct inside of the home. The beach house came with central and air duct. The A/C no longer works and the air duct is rusted and worn apart. An air duct sealing appointment could not even service it! We need a new a/c as it is already. My brother says that ductless Heating & A/C is much better. Not only is it cheaper to take care of but it can be used for Heating & A/C zone control, and so what the 2 of us need to do now is unconnect the air duct quietly without anyone seeing us! Ductwork removal is not something that is easy. My brother and I need to tear down the walls and ceiling. Then both of us need to reef numerous inch metal ducts out of the beach house without it breaking down. Then I need to drive the air duct in the back of my choice up to the dump. What are the chances that not a single person hears or sees any of this? We have been trying to slowly do the job in the middle of the night. It is horrendous and not going well. There is a very big reason as to why professionals do the job both of us are doing.
