My Grandpa tried his best to teach myself and others how to use a fireplace, however it took a lot longer than he thought that it would.
My Grandpa literally couldn’t know that I have never used a fireplace before. However, I have never grown up in a house that had a fireplace, therefore I know that I have never thought about the fact that I have never used a fireplace; I figured that it was totally normal that I have never used a fireplace before. In my apartment, I have a furnace! Furnaces are pretty easy to use. Furnaces don’t require any task on your part! The only thing that you have to do to get a furnace running is to adjust the temperature control, plus that is pretty easy. I wish that everyone had a furnace. With that being said, when I went to my Grandpa’s house, I realized that he did not have a furnace. My Grandpa had a fireplace that ran solely on wood. I did not know that he had a wood furnace. I have heard of them, but I thought that everyone used furnaces, and when he asked myself and others to rekindle the fire, I looked at him without any expertise. He must have realized that I have never used a fireplace before. He decided that I would learn how to use a fireplace, plus he began training me. I realized that using a fireplace took a lot more thought plus effort than a furnace, plus it was hard. However, I learned how to use a fireplace, plus I figured out that I like to use a fireplace. There is something about them that seems manly, plus I enjoyed the work.
