I finally started to get back into dating again.
It’s been several years since I’ve been on the dating scene, in part because of the covid pandemic and also because of family circumstances that were out of my control.
But as I’ve gotten more comfortable being around other people again, I’ve decided that I need to move forward in my life and fill in the gaps. And that includes looking for a romantic partner to have a family with. I decided that the quickest way for me to get started with this process is by making a dating app profile. It’s nice that you can somewhat filter out a lot of people when you use a dating app. Some of them have features where you can answer questions that will describe your personality and belief system to a person in a matter of moments. But as I got confident about going on a date, I realized that there’s a lot of loose ends in my life that need to be addressed first. For instance, I have a broken HVAC system at my house. How am I supposed to bring a date back to my house with a broken HVAC system? It’s unfathomable to me being in a position like this when I just want to be worthy of another person’s love. I’m going to have to call the heating and cooling company and figure out some kind of payment plan to get the HVAC system fixed. Otherwise I’m not going to be in a position to go out on a date with anyone worrying that I could eventually end up back at my place and show them exactly how poor the living situation is at the moment. Heating and cooling is a necessary part of life for a lot of people.
