I found a raccoon when I was taking out the trash

There’s a multitude of little critters that live in the woods behind our house.

When I first moved out here, I saw a bunch of rabbits in the late afternoon.

There was a whole litter of babies following around two adult rabbits, and they were all eating flowers growing in the garden. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen! One evening I saw a mother opossum with several babies riding back as she ate berries from a bush. I was enamored by all of these beautiful critters. And then I saw a group of a horde of ducklings one afternoon when I was out on our back porch reading with a cup of coffee. None of the woodland creatures have ever posed a threat to me or our property besides the raccoons. I like the raccoons too, even though they’re relentless with our neighbor’s garbage. Luckily he hasn’t yet figured out that they’re coming from our yard! Hopefully he never does. One night when I was taking out the garbage there was a raccoon sitting on our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C condenser. The fan was running and it was blowing his fur upward and he didn’t notice me at first. The condenser is loud when it’s running. I shooed him out of there away from our air conditioner equipment, but I have to admit that he was cute. It’s pretty hilarious to find a raccoon playing on top of your A/C fan, as long as they don’t tear it up or poop on it. In this case, the little guy only made me laugh.
