I guess being an adult means getting excited about different things than what you got excited about when you were younger.
I remember when I was younger, I would get really excited about a new movie coming out or getting a new video game or something like that.
I would even get excited about going out for pizza on a Friday night or having a friend come over for the weekend. Now, though, I’m not really all that interested in things like that. Instead, these days, I get excited about things like a new washer and dryer and having an HVAC technician come to my house. Seriously, I’ve been having some trouble with my air conditioning unit and when I called to make an appointment to have the A/C repaired, they said that we would have to wait a couple of weeks because they were all booked up. It wasn’t cooling off that much yet and so we still needed to run our central air conditioning unit for a few more weeks. I didn’t really know what to do because I didn’t want to wait very long to get an A/C repair appointment. Of course, I also didn’t want to use a different heating and cooling company, either. We started using a window unit A/C in the bedroom so at least we could stay cool at night when we were trying to go to sleep. Now, it’s finally almost time for the HVAC technician to show up at the house and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! I can’t wait for the HVAC repair van to get here!
