I have a clog in my dryer vent

They use a snaking apparatus that is attached to a power drill

I am now doing more laundry after noticing that my allergies were getting worse. At first nothing I did helped my symptoms abate. I was dusting all of the surfaces in my home, sweeping and mopping the floors, and vacuuming the carpets all at least once a day or more. I figured that doing all of those things would help me quit suffering from respiratory and sinus congestion, but none of it did. My doctor told me to install an air purifier with a HEPA filter and UV-C bulbs for additional air cleaning, but that didn’t completely remove my symptoms. The air purifier helped more than anything else at that point, but it wasn’t enough. Then my doctor suggested that my clothing and bedding could be aggravating my allergic reactions. I changed the detergent to a better brand and immediately my issues started to lessen like they never have before. After I got the same results with every load of laundry three times in a row, I decided that I should rewash everything in my house. The only issue I have now is that my dryer isn’t working as well as it should. It seems like I have to leave the loads in the dryer for two hours just to get the fabric bone dry. I asked my HVAC contractor if they handled dryer exhaust vents and they told me they could send someone out the same day. They use a snaking apparatus that is attached to a power drill. The technician did all of the work from outside and never had to move my dryer to get access or even come in the house for that matter. After he said he was finished, he told me to turn on my dryer for an hour to get rid of any additional dust and lint that didn’t come out with the ventilation snake. Now that my dryer vent is clean, it takes 40 minutes to get a load of laundry bone dry.
