When I first moved out, I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly, I only had one thing on my mind, and that was to get out of my parent’s house and finally be independent.
It was nothing involving my parents, I just really wanted to see what true freedom tasted like, and have all of the responsibilities of an adult.
Well because of this, I didn’t look too deeply into the kind of apartment I would move into. Now I wish I did, because I decided to move into the first apartment that I came across, instead of looking at other options. I already moved into my current apartment, and my lease doesn’t expire until late this year. So, I am stuck here in this apartment, looking at all of these other apartments that are so much better than mine. My apartment is really small, at only 1 bedroom, and to make it worse I have incredibly noisy neighbors. I sometimes wonder if they are secretly elephants with how loud they are. Anyways, I also have been having issues with my air conditioning system. My A/C seems to have a mind of its own, and it seems to decide when it wants to work or not. Sometimes my air conditioning decides to work, other days it doesn’t, and my landlord won’t respond to me calling about it. Even though it is hot in my apartment most days, I am determined to not let my cooling unit get in the way of my life. I know for some people if things are not perfect for them they just completely crumble. I’m not going to be one of those people.
