Looking for new roommate, must know HVAC repair

A few months ago, everything came to a head with my roommate.

We have been living together for about a year-and-a-half and for most of the time things went really well.

Then, in the last six months or so, things got really dramatic and expensive with my roomie relations. We started having a lot of disagreements that generally followed massive bills that we had to split. You see, over time my roommate started to severely abuse our indoor air handling equipment. At first, we both had a very energy efficient thermostat control program, and agreed that we enjoyed saving our money each month on the electrical bill. Then, I started realizing that someone was fiddling with the thermostat on the side. When the entire heating system broke down one day, I realized that my roommate was messing with the indoor air temperature control all the time. Then, we had to deal with massive emergency repair bills from the local air quality specialist. Obviously, things weren’t working out. We broke the lease and my roommate moved out a couple of months ago. Now, I’m finally ready to start looking for a new roommate. This time, I know that there are certain sacrifices I won’t make. In my roommate posting on Craigslist, the first thing that I mention is my desire for an energetically efficient roomie. Must have valid indoor air temperature preferences. Secondly, I offer a huge discount if they’re heating and cooling system literate. Anyone who knows how to diagnose and repair an air conditioner or furnace can have the room, almost entirely for free.
