In this part of the country, the winter season doesn’t usually begin until the middle of December. There are usually a few days of cold temperatures, but we rarely have ice or snow until Christmas. This year was uncommonly cold and we had exceptionally frigid temperatures in the middle of November. Unfortunately, we were still in the middle of construction when the cold weather began. My wife and I were busy renovating an old house. We knew the renovations would take a long time, but problem after problem had things delayed and behind schedule. We didn’t have any heat in the house, but it was impossible to work without warm air. My wife and I looked for a few different solutions, and then we decided to rent a mobile boiler. We could have purchased something small, but the mobile boiler was a great choice. We were going to have a boiler delivered to the house in a few weeks and the mobile boiler gave us a chance to see how things would work. The rental company set up the mobile boiler and the rest of the process was easy. With the mobile boiler in place, we continued to work through the three-week cold snap. We finished the final repairs two days before the new boiler was delivered. Everything worked out exactly right and we didn’t waste any time. The rental company was picking up the mobile boiler as the new equipment was installed. We have the property on the market now and we expect to make $100,000 on the deal.
