My back felt care about it was chopping by the time I finished now working on the furnace.

Throughout the years, I have learned to deal with the fact that I am 6 foot 6 and very large. I don’t really mind when people ask me how the weather is up there. I don’t even mind when everyone and their grandma assumes that I played basketball in college. What I do mind is when I have to do my job and my huge frame makes it very difficult. I am an HVAC technician and I really enjoy my job, but sometimes it’s almost impossible for me to work on certain tasks. A couple weeks ago, I was called out for an emergency furnace repair. When I arrived at the house the owner looked at me for a moment and shook his head, saying that I may very well not be able to do the job that he wanted me to do. Then he showed me what he was talking about. He opened the door to the basement, and I winced at what I saw. The ceiling was very low and I had to crouch down in order to navigate my way through the basement. When I reached the farthest, darkest corner of the basement, I could barely get myself around the furnace installed there. Nevertheless, I tightened my belt and I got to work as best as I could. I was doing the best job I could manage, and I may very well have been able to pull it off, were it not for the fact but I could barely see what I was doing, and not just because it was dark, but because my body was blocking my line of sight. In the end, I had to relent and call out another HVAC technician who I knew was much shorter than me so he could finish the job.
