If I was trying to sell something specific in a large market, I don’t know how effective old school advertising campaigns would actually be. Sure, there is a place for signs, business cards, TV spots and all of that. However, the dollar for dollar value often doesn’t even get close to what internet marketing can and does provide. This is a fact that data will readily prove. I know that I was not exactly sold on internet marketing. I figured I already had a website so what else did I need? Well, I got a real education when it came to just what an internet marketing company can actually do for my business. I’m a person in their fifties so while I rely on technology, I haven’t paid as much attention when it comes to internet marketing. My son suggested that we take a meeting with an internet marketing service. He had done some research on internet marketing strategies. He was adamant that we had to at least get some help when it came to website design. My son was convinced that our passive, outdated website needed some serious updating. I had to agree when he showed me the sort of website design that has become the standard. But once we started learning about how search engine optimization and pay per click could help our new website design I was fully intrigued. And it also just made very logical sense to me. People are going to search engines to find companies like ours. This is where people are looking. Billboards and promotional items are no longer the effective route to driving new business.
