Not easy working at a hotel when the A/C machines fail

I started doing work at the hotel 3 years ago.

Back in those days, I was honestly working as a housekeeper… It was my duty to scrub the bathrooms, empty the trash, plus make the beds.

I spent 6 whole months honestly working genuinely hard before I finally gained a promotion, and my first promotion was the head of housekeeping. It was a pretty fantastic job because I finally had full-time hours, and since I was a manager, I also gained benefits like dental, vision, plus health. After working there for a year, the owner of the hotel promoted me to being the manager. I knew the job would come with all sorts of headaches, but every day seems so much worse than the previous. I have been the manager for the past 6 months, plus I deal with an insane amount of problems. This week, all of the A/C machines on the second floor stopped working correctly. The group of us had 9 rooms rented on the second floor, plus the guests were easily aggravated about the A/C machine issues. I couldn’t blame any of the guests for complaining, because I would be very angry as well. The temperature outside is around 76 degrees, plus I can see it is necessary to run the A/C machine in order to be comfortable. I explained to the guests that they could have a new room, but a few of them demanded a refund. We honestly lost almost $1,000 due to the serious problem with the A/C machines. Our maintenance staff is truly lost, plus the owner of the hotel is dragging her feet. Her actual answer to the problem is to keep those rooms vacant right now. That seriously won’t be helpful when our busy season is actually around the corner.
