Simple causes of HVAC problems as I have experienced

The many times my HVAC unit has acted up for whatever reasons, it always ends up being something that I could have prevented by being a bit more diligent and careful.

Usually, every time my thermostat fails to work, the possible cause is always dead batteries that I forgot to replace.

Sometimes when my house can barely get to the right temperatures, it is often because of a clogged filter that I scheduled to replace but forgot along the way. Over the years of using my effective heating and cooling unit, I have discovered that regular maintenance helps. However, life is not always perfect, and we forget sometimes. I try to have professional maintenance scheduled at least once a year and do my best to clean whenever my work schedule permits. I have discovered that problems keep recurring for the decade that I have owned my current HVAC system. Popular issues on my list include dirty filters that affect the furnace and the air conditioner’s functioning. At one time, I had to replace a damaged limit switch that controls the fan simply because I left the dirty filters for too long. I have also had to deal with wear and tear issues. This may not have been my fault because it was the ordinary wearing and tearing in all machines. Even at that, my unit experiences airflow problems that affect the heat control. In fact, the unit was on the verge of overheating, but I stepped in quick enough and had the HVAC technician handle it appropriately. When I experienced the blower’s issue continuously many years ago, the technician found out that the limit switch was acting up but quickly fixed it.
