When I turned 16, I did not expect to be given a car for my birthday.
- My family is very poor, and even though I have my driver’s license, I knew that there was no way that they were going to be able to afford a car.
That is why I was so surprised when my birthday came and I was given a car. Later on, I discovered that somebody gave my parents the car so that I could have it. The car was in running condition, and even though it had a lot of miles in it, I was excited. It was in clean condition and everything. However, nobody told me that the air conditioner didn’t work. My birthday is during the winter, so the only thing that I needed was the heating system. Since I was young, I didn’t even consider asking about the air conditioner. Someone gave me the car for free, so I wasn’t scoping it out or anything. However, when the temperatures started to get warmer, I discovered that the air conditioner didn’t work. I will admit that I was pretty disappointed that the car didn’t have a working air conditioner. Even though the car was a free gift, I was really hoping that it had an air conditioner. Sure, I am thankful to have a car, but it really stinks to drive a car during the hot summer without an air conditioner. Apparently, it also costs a lot of money to repair the air conditioner. Since we already tried refilling it, I guess that I am just going to have to be stuck with a car that does not have a working air conditioner.
