As a singer, a songwriter plus a tunesian, this lockdown has been nothing but a blessing for me.
I didn’t see it that way at first, because I was pissed off about being stuck inside for lord knows how long.
After a couple of weeks I saw it for what it really was — enforced free time, where I had no excuse but to work on our tunes. There is consistently some reason or another to not work on our creative stuff, but now our hand was forced, plus I’m so cheerful it was! I get so fixated on bills plus work, plus the freelance Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C gigs I take on the side, that tunes consistently falls through the cracks… Working on gas oil furnaces plus a/cs pays really well, plus the benefits are good, but after toiling a 10 or 12 hour day I just don’t have the energy to play tunes! From that moment on I took full advantage of our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C cut plus focused heavily on writing plus recording new tunes. I even posted a few videos of our tunes on Youtube, which was cool! Now I am dreading having to go back to toiling Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C condo calls, plus I know the day is fast approaching when I will have to. I’m thinking about combining our passions, plus maybe making some Youtube videos about condo A/C plus gas furnace repair for lay people. I can use our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C skills plus experience, plus still exercise our creativity, plus best of all not have to leave the condo as much as I used to.
