The concert hall needed serious HVAC repairs

Even if you have a really good relationship with an HVAC contractor, you can’t get service for free

Both of my siblings sing in a local choir. For the longest time they had their concerts in a church, but sadly that church suffered from a large electrical fire and they had to start having their concerts at an old concert hall down the road. It’s a nice historic building, but it’s in disrepair. Last year during a hurricane there was a ton of rain that made its way through the rooftop. The newly formed holes caused water to leak in and resulted in water damage inside the building itself. I heard that the costs to get the roof repaired are fairly significant. However, they’ve been having more concerts there lately and are selling out tickets fairly quickly. Maybe it’s because we live in a small town and there’s nothing else to do, but I’m actually surprised to see how well business is going for the concert hall despite their issues. Recently they had to buy new components for their HVAC system. The HVAC system has been failing for quite some time and they’ve been putting off the repair process. I can understand that it must be really expensive to try to fix a commercial sized heating and cooling system inside of a concert hall of all places. Even if you have a really good relationship with an HVAC contractor, you can’t get service for free. They’re running a business just like anyone else. But now that the old concert hall has working heating and cooling systems, it’s not so miserable watching a performance there like it was before.
