The rental property needed major A/C

My girlfriend and I spent a summer by the lake.

We decided to rent a small house, because it was cheaper than a hotel or vacation rental.

My girlfriend was trying to finish her book and we wanted to get out of town for a while. I was working from home, so it didn’t matter if we were in the country or in the city. I thought it was a great idea when my girlfriend mentioned going to the lake for a few months. We found a charming and quaint piece of property for rent. The place had two bedrooms and one bathroom. Our view of the lake was spectacular and we even had access to our own fishing dock and kayaks. The first couple of weeks went by really quickly. My girlfriend and I worked during the day and we went out to the dock at night. We sat by the water with a fishing pole and a glass of wine. My girlfriend didn’t catch anything, but I landed a huge rainbow trout that tasted great steamed with lemon. After two weeks in the rental, we started to notice the indoor air changes. The A/C wasn’t cooling very well and it was clear that the system needed service. I called the property owner and left a detailed message. An hour later, the guy called back with the name of a repair company. They were on the way to fix the A/C issue. The maintenance technician showed up two hours later to work on the A/C. The response time from the property owner was quick and the problem was fixed on the same day.
