When we experienced cooling system issues, the guests were furious

I actually started working at the hotel roughly 3 years ago.

Back then, I was simply working as a housekeeper… It was my responsibility to scrub the powder rooms, empty the trash, and make the beds.

I spent numerous months working incredibly hard before I finally received a promotion, and my first promotion was the head of housekeeping. It was a fairly nice task because I finally had full-time working hours. Since I was a manager, I also received benefits such as dental, vision, and health. After a year, the owner of the hotel provided to make me the manager. I knew the task would come with a good amount of headaches, and every day seems worse than the previous. I have been the manager for the past numerous months, and I deal with all sorts of problems. This week, all of the A/C appliances on the second floor stopped working completely. The lot of us had several rooms rented on that very floor, and every single guest was upset about the A/C appliance issues. I couldn’t blame any of the guests for being mad, because I would be mad as well. The temperature outside is around 70 degrees, and I realize it is crucial to run the A/C in order to be comfortable. I easily offered to move all of the guests to different rooms, but a few of them demanded a refund. The lot of us lost almost $1,000 due to the setback with the A/C appliances. Our repair staff is completely lost, and the owner of the hotel is dragging his feet. His solution to the problem is to keep those rooms vacant right now. That won’t be helpful when our busy season is straight around the corner.
