An Unbearable rehearsal due to a multi-split air conditioning break down

I was continuously trying to fan myself with the script I was holding, but it was not working.

When I noticed that everyone present was doing the same, I knew I had to do something.

It was our second last rehearsal, and we needed to concentrate with no distractions. Adjusting the thermostat settings had also not helped, so I figured that the multi-split air conditioning equipment must be the problem. Later on, I went to the director. She said she had noticed the heat and the change in air quality and talked to the people in charge of the hall. They were yet to do anything about it. They should have hired a maintenance person who either once worked in the cooling industry or knew more about air conditioning than the one who was there who knew close to nothing. I later learned that he was filling in for someone out on sick leave. The director told me to call the manager, who gave me the responsibility to contact the air conditioning company. Since I had no idea what the problem was other than the quality air conditioner was not working, I told the a/c serviceman I talked to that the place needed air conditioning repair and HVAC maintenance. I was afraid that the indoor comfort business would schedule the repair the same day as our last rehearsal, but luckily it was a day before, which was perfect. I was there at the specified time, but nobody from the air conditioning provider was present. To their credit, the air conditioning technician showed up ten minutes later. He worked on the HVAC installation with such efficiency that I was impressed
