Hanging up the cooling specialist hat

I’ve been toiling at the same heating and AC job for the better part of 26 years now.

I have seen many things and I genuinely do like working there.

But I guess that all good things have to come to an end, and I have chosen that since I’m getting up there in age, I’m genuinely looking forward to retiring. I have worked my entire life and I’m ready to finally relax and enjoy what has left of my golden years. I genuinely like toiling at this heating and AC business, and I have a lot of fantastic coworkers and friends of mine, but I think that I will not regret retiring at all. However, sometimes things come full circle, because recently our child has been telling himself and others that he wants to become a heating and AC specialist. This surprised me when he told me this because he never seemed like he was interested in Heating and cooling, but he told me that he was interested in it because I was the one that had introduced it to him. He told myself and others his plan was to finish High School and then try to get into a good school that would allow him to learn the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C trade. I’m genuinely proud of our child for being so ambitious to go and be the same thing as his father, I think it’s genuinely something special. In a way it’s like one generation is ending and another one is just starting, and so the cycle of working at the heating and AC business continues.
