Yesterday I started having trouble with our window cooling system.
I’m not sure but it just decided to just stop working. The thing is, I had been having it maintained and taken care of, although I’m not sure how fantastic the repair was because the repair I was doing myself. However, I did my best to make sure that our window a/c was taken care of. I know enough about window AC systems that I felt confident enough to repair it myself. However, it’s been having an issue that even I cannot seem to figure out. Don’t get me wrong, I leave it to the professionals when it comes to Central Heating and cooling systems, as those things are complex and I have no clue how to make them run. I don’t do anything with them other than change the temperature on the thermostat, but with a window AC? They’re a small device and pretty simple to repair, but this is baffling me and I cannot figure out why it is not turning on. From what I can tell, everything is hooked up the way it should be and there is not any reason that it should not come on. I think I may just need to get a heating and AC professional for this one. I’m still going to try tinkering a little bit more, but if I do not get it going within the next couple hours I think I’m going to go ahead and call our local heating supplier and AC contractor and have them come out and take a look at it. Hopefully they can repair it, since I do not think I can.
