I did not schedule my HVAC tune up soon enough and I regretted it after the furnace was not working

He also told me that if I had scheduled a tune up this quick fix could have been avoided and much cheaper as well

It is safe to say that there is nothing I hate more than being told what to do. I also really hate being nagged. My mom has constantly been on me lately about getting the HVAC unit tuned up. I told her I did not need to do that yet. She told me I needed to do it before we went to use the heat for the winter. I knew all of the information she was telling me. I was just waiting until I wanted to make the call to have someone come look at it. This year it had started snowing a lot earlier than it had in past years. It had even gotten cold all of a sudden. It was very unexpected. We needed to use the heat but when we went to turn it on, we could not get it to turn on. We tried pushing every button on the thermostat and nothing was happening. We even checked the system for and clogs or dirty air filters. We found nothing on our own so we had to call the HVAC company nearby. They were sent to our house almost immediately after we had called. The HVAC professional looked at the system and found that the system was not working because there were several parts that had rusted over the course of the summer. These parts were not helping the system to start. The parts had to be replaced. He also told me that if I had scheduled a tune up this quick fix could have been avoided and much cheaper as well. My advice is to schedule your tune up as soon as possible in the fall. You never know what could go wrong with your HVAC system especially since it has been sitting all summer long.
