Well it happened again and I contacted my local HVAC company and had them send out a heating maintenance provider.
Some people believe all dreams have meaning. I am not one of those people. I have always been the type of person to have a lot of really strange dreams that don’t make any sense. It could start off with me dreaming about doing something normal like walking my dog outside and quickly turn into a nightmare with me getting chased by a killer taco. What is that supposed to mean? I don’t believe those random weird dreams mean anything. I think that it is just my brain going crazy at night as it cycles through all my random thoughts during the day. However, I do think that some dreams hold meaning, specifically the highly realistic ones that seem like they are trying to send a message. Lately I have been having the same dream every single night. It always starts the same with me being freezing cold and I run to the thermostat to try and turn on the central heating system, and it clicks but nothing happens. There is no warmth and it only gets colder and colder until I collapse, then there is darkness and awake. I do think the dream might be trying to tell me to have my furnace looked at. However, I am stubborn and decided that if I had it two more nights in a row, then I would call out a heating and a/c technician. Well it happened again and I contacted my local HVAC company and had them send out a heating maintenance provider. When the heating worker took a look at my furnace, he told me I was lucky I called when I did. If I had waited much longer my heater would have died and I would have been freezing in the cold. Our winters are brutal and going without heat is unthinkable. My furnace was repaired and I never had the dream again.
