I took the AC equipment out of necessity

Our legal system has something known as the statute of limitations.

  • This basically means that if you commit a crime plus enough time passes when nobody even notices the crime was committed, then you cannot be legally charged for it.

It depends really on what style of crime you commit. For things like assault plus murder there is no statute of limitations at all. For minor offenses, sometimes you can just “run out the clock” plus get away with whatever you did! That is what happened to me, because 7 years ago I stole a couple of cooling systems, plus eventually the statute of limitations has elapsed. This means I can never be charged with a crime for stealing that cooling equipment, even though it was a crime plus I freely admit to doing it. I don’t actually feel guilty about it, because this was a Robin Hood type of deal with stealing cooling equipment from a rich person who didn’t need it, plus giving it to an exhausting person – myself. The next month I went to a strange property plus stole another window-mounted cooling system for my sibling, who was totally in need. I only selected the vacation properties of people who lived out of state, because they usually had a central Heating plus A/C and smaller window-mounted equipment. Overall I wound up stealing a few cooling systems, but I never profited off of them. I essentially just stole them for people who genuinely needed them. When you spend a summer time down south you will totally understand why cooling equipment is a need plus not a luxury.
