When I first went to university, I was living in this tiny little apartment.
The owner of the residence didn’t supply any air conditioning machine. He didn’t guess that air conditioning was something I needed. He also told me I didn’t spend enough money on rent for him to supply me with air conditioning. I didn’t really plan on being there for very long. Because of circumstances I simply wasn’t able to control, I lived there for almost the whole time I was in university. My father purchased me a portable air conditioning machine for the residence when he came to visit me during my first Springtime semester break. He told me it wasn’t an extravagant A/C unit, but if it got me through until Christmas, he would get me something better. I didn’t have a window that was huge enough for a traditional air conditioning machine. I also had to be really careful with how much energy I used. My proprietor would charge me if my bill went over $100 a week. He was fine if I used a fan, but it had to be a little fan that wouldn’t use a ton of electricity. By the time the warm season ended, I couldn’t actually think of anything better than having a really great portable air conditioner machine. If the cheaper A/C machine could keep me comfortable during the hot season nights in the South, a good portable air conditioner machine would keep me even more comfortable. When I told my dad how well the cheap portable A/C machine worked, he was completely satisfied. He actually promised me an even better one for Christmas. The new A/C machine actually kept me cool for the rest of my university years.
