It wasn’t too long ago that I lived without air conditioning.
I lived in a small apartment, and they didn’t believe air conditioning was a necessity.
I would have our windows and doors open, and fans in every a single, trying to draw the heat out of the house. I had asthma, and I would sit there with a fan blowing on me, so I could sleep and breathe. My asthma got so disappointing that I spent nearly as much time in the hospital as I did at work. When I moved in with our spouse, he had window air conditioning units. I felt love I had died and gone to heaven. I was finally able to sleep and relax with the air conditioning, but years later, we had central air conditioning installed in our home. I had to admit that I liked the window air conditioning units better. The two of us could turn them off in the rooms where they weren’t in use. Our family room was always cool and comfortable, however there were people we knew, who didn’t have air conditioning. My spouse told myself and others he could not understand how people were able to go without air conditioning. I reminded him that I didn’t have air conditioning until I moved in with him. I believe disappointing when I hear of people who don’t have AC; Now that I am older, I count on air conditioning to keep myself and others breathing and to be comfortable. I’m not sure where I be now if I had stayed in that house and our spouse hadn’t found me. I would actually be where other people are who don’t have air conditioning, and that’s either dead or in the hospital.
