At least there are rules that building owners have to follow.
If it is 100 degrees outside plus the A/C is broken, by law it needs to be fixed instantly. At our new job, there are no rules plus regulations that force the owner to fix something when it is broken. Myself plus the rest of the dining room staff have been working separate from any A/C for the last week. The owner does not work in the dining room, so it is not a priority for the guy to fix the broken AC. If the A/C in the dining room or Lobby was broke down, it would be a priority to repair the problem. Unfortunately, customers are not allowed in the dining room plus that means the owner does not have to worry about whether or not it is comfortable. My sous chef plus I have been begging the owner to fix the A/C plus last weekend I finally had enough. It was 97 while in the morning, plus every one of us were severely busy with customers all morning. I did not get a split from the dining room until after supper. By then, I was feeling faint plus dizzy. I easily thought about going to the ER, because I felt so poorly. I still had dinner maintenance that morning, so I drank a lot of water plus went back to work. Later that night, I was preparing sea bass with roasted green beans plus I fainted. The next thing that I remember was waking up in the back of an ambulance. The driver told me that I was suffering from heat stroke.
