When I was still a stay at lake condo partner, I took care of most of the house’s needs.
Which included cleaning, cooking and taking care of the kids.
I didn’t mind this task, it gave me a lot of time with the kids, even though they can be a handful sometimes. I was consistently there to greet our fiance at the door, and make sure the rest of his day was peaceful before he had to start working tomorrow. One of the other tasks I did was take care of the heating and cooling system. Nothing big, just occasional cleaning, Heating, Ventilation and A/C service and increasing the air conditioning filter. Eventually, our fiance and I decided to transport to a bigger home, and with a bigger home, came bigger payments. Between the kids, the pets and the new house, I knew I needed to take on a task too. My fiance was okay with this, as he had recently started working from home. Our roles ended up reversing and he started doing most of the condo chores, while working at lake condo as well. Even though I was working as well, I never stopped helping our fiance with some of the condo chores, because I wanted to make sure he wasn’t overwhelmed with the kids and the task. One of the things I reminded him about was the Heating, Ventilation and A/C filter change, since the heating and cooling plan can be forgettable sometimes. My fiance ended up forgetting to change the a/c filter and the cooling plan started having issues. Thankfully, once I reminded him and the seasoned dirty filter was replaced, the cooling component returned back to normal.
