Nutritional counseling for my grandmother

My grandmother is from the meat and potatoes generation.

  • She eats so unhealthy.

Everything is covered in cheese, butter and grease. Obviously, she is significantly overweight. Not only does she eat bad, but she doesn’t work out. My grandmother basically sits in a chair all day long watching TV or reading a book. I want her to live a long time, but right now she couldn’t be less healthy. Taking her to the doctor’s is a big no. She also is resistant to swimming, bike riding and going for walks. I am now wondering if I can get her to go to the personal training gym with me. There are lots of group fitness classes offered like yoga, spin class, weightlifting and even physical training courses. There must be one that speaks to her. The class would be on the same day and time. I would pay, pick her up and organize everything. Even if she didn’t like the class, the core progression gym also offers nutritional counseling. A nutritionist works with you one on one to develop a diet plan. Typically this health plan is to work in tandem with your group fitness class in order to achieve your goal weight. I don’t even really care if my grandmother loses weight or works out. I think the biggest issue is getting vegetables, fruits and other essential vitamins in her diet. Maybe a professional can help her see the error of her ways. I wouldn’t even tell her that she is going to speak about her diet. I would take her to the fitness class and nutritional counseling would just be a part of the class.
