Personal trainer won’t let me be lazy

My friends and I do a group fitness class two days a week.

The class is really an excuse for us girls to get together and chat.

We have an hour in class to gossip and have fun. Afterwards we eat dinner and drink as much wine as we want. I basically want to work out enough that I don’t feel guilty about the food and drink calories I am going to consume afterwards. I am not competing in bodybuilding or a swimsuit competition. I don’t really care how many push ups I can do. Well the personal trainer running the class hasn’t gotten the memo. The certified fitness expert isn’t running a lazy class of women. I feel like the personal trainer must be a former Navy Seal and we are his newest recruits. The class is an hour and it is just about impossible for my girls and I to make it the full class. The class starts out with heavy cardio activity, jump roping. I hadn’t jumped rope since I was 10 years old. Now I am way better at it in that I can physically do it, but cardio wise I just about die. By the end of the quick warm up I feel like the work out should be done. The personal trainer then has us tossing medicine balls, using weighted poles or battle ropes to the point where I can hardly lift my arms. Sometimes we lunge down the mats, tuck jump or frog jump. The hour fitness class has me so sore and tired afterwards.
