Anyways, after an hour’s drive I noticed how hot it was, so I asked my boyfriend to turn on the A/C, and he did.
I have never been a fan of driving. When I was a teenager, it was all I ever heard from my classmates and friends, how they couldn’t wait to drive, how much freedom it would give you. While that is true, I really really didn’t want to drive. All I saw was disaster waiting to happen, and I have statistics to back me up. Not only do I have to worry about other people’s driving, but I’m not the best driver myself! I constantly get signs and other things confused, as well due to my limited vision, I have difficulty seeing anything further than 3 feet in front of me. This is why when someone else, like my boyfriend, is driving, I can relax and let my mind wander. I love road trips, as long as I am not the one driving. So when my boyfriend and I planned on driving to see family, a road trip, I was happy with the idea. For the first hour everything was great. My mind wandered to fantasy land, and I could tell my boyfriend was lost in thought too. Anyways, after an hour’s drive I noticed how hot it was, so I asked my boyfriend to turn on the A/C, and he did. But to my unfortunate realization, the air conditioner wasn’t giving cooling air! My boyfriend turned it up the rest of the way, but it didn’t matter, it wasn’t enough to combat the heat. The rest of the road trip was miserable, I wasn’t able to focus with the intense heat. We had to travel back at night to avoid the heat. It wasn’t until the next day that we were able to get someone who specialized in heating and air conditioning in cars that it was fixed.
