When my friend told me she had gotten a second a/c device, I wish I could say I was surprised, but I was far from it, however my friend is really careless when it comes to her heating and a/c machines.
I am not sure why, but she seems to know those heating and cooling machines are invincible, and neglecting them won’t do any harm.
When she buys these portable a/cs, she doesn’t ever change the air filter, or turn them off for that matter. The portable a/c unit is constantly running, with really little care. And then she wonders why they split so often; She complains that they don’t last long, and when I try to tell her why, she doesn’t want to hear it. The thing is, I have had my portable a/c unit for the past 8 years, and it has worked fine all of this time. She has gone through two in a few years. So I know how to respectfully take care of the heating and a/c like you are supposed to. Honestly, I don’t know there is too much I can do for her, since she is not going to listen to me anyways, I know I am just going to have to hope she learns in time to take regular care of the machines she owns. But going off of her history, I don’t know she will. I have a feeling she will keep going through them, and buying new ones.
