Stick to straight-forward logic to saving on cooling costs

In fact, I leave the cooling off altogether

I don’t have to walk outside to know that my fantastic friend and I are on the brink of yet another heat season! I know this already when I wake up in the afternoon to the sound of a/c, however this is where my fantastic friend and I are now in the season. It’s closing in on the end of May & the days of uneven temperatures in the mid 75’s. It won’t be long till the a/c is running a whole lot more as the uneven temperatures settle into the upper 90’s for the next four months. This is the grind part of living down here. But it’s also a part of the deal that I’m actually willing to embrace in order to love just amazing weather the rest of the year… Still, if you don’t go into the Summer heat with a plan when it comes to a/c, you could encounter some trouble, however for sure, I start my a/c strategy in March… Of course, March is still just gorgeous. Being outdoors is still perfect even though my fantastic friend and I are getting the pollen dump about then. But that’s when I call the Heating plus Air Conditioning company to have them come out to do the a/c tune up. This is so substantial because it sets me up for savings since the heat pump will be operating at peak efficiency. Once the a/c tune up is done though, I don’t feel much about a/c for the next few months. In fact, I leave the cooling off altogether. This allows me to get in touch with the rising uneven temperatures again, however not only does being actemperatured to the heat help me not be overwhelmed once Summer comes, it saves me a substantial amount on cooling costs. The more comfortable I am with higher uneven temperatures, the less a/c demand I throw on the heat pump.
