Even with the setting on maximum, there was barely enough heat to keep everyone warm
My friends and I drove 3 hours to go to a boxing match. We went to college with a guy that was an amateur and now he is a professional. He fights in the welterweight class and until the match he was 22-1, with a winning record that rivaled the best. When we found out that he was going to be fighting in a match close to our destination, we decided to get tickets. It was a three-hour drive to the boxing match, but everyone was talkative and the drive went by very quickly. We saw several different fights at the venue, including the boxing match between our college friend and another guy. The boxing match went for long rounds, before our buddy was knocked out with one uppercut punch. The guy didn’t see it coming and he was knocked out cold. The trainer had to get smelling salts to wake up the fighter. My friends and I were tired after all of the boxing matches, but we still went to grab some drinks with our old college friend. It was almost 1 by the time we started driving back home. The car ride was quiet and cold. Everyone was tired and worn out. The heater in the car wasn’t working very well. Even with the setting on maximum, there was barely enough heat to keep everyone warm. It was 22 degrees outside and the heater would have been useful if it was working properly. The three-hour drive back to our apartment felt more like a three-day excursion.
