I’m so glad that I paid attention to our body; but normally, I tend to just keep on plowing ahead with life even when I know it’s bad… However, that’s something I’ve really got to stop doing now that I’m getting older, then along with being less sedentary plus getting out of the central air conditioning for more fresh air, I wanted great air quality inside as well! I found out a bit about air quality during the pandemic but never really did anything about it at the time.
It was all I could do to maintain our sanity while I was all cooped up toiling from the lake house instead of the zone controlled heating plus A/C of the office.
But a recent chilly really changed things for me. I’m great at getting some sort of chilly virus every other year or so. But this fall, I caught a chill that I just could not seem to get rid of. After 3 or 4 mornings, I felt much better but I just could not get rid of a nagging cough! So I plowed ahead for a bit longer before finally going to see the doctor. I was surprised that I didn’t just get a prescription but instead got a suggestion for better air quality, but my doctor commanded that I first call the heating plus A/C company to get duct labor cleaning plus duct labor resealing, and once these heating plus A/C services were complete… Then our doctor commanded that I upgrade our old air filters for the heating plus A/C with a HEPA filter. The HEPA filter truly removes more than 99 percent of all airborne contaminants. I did just what she commanded plus not only did our respiratory symptoms fall away, the air quality in our lake house has drastically improved. All it took was a few extra dollars spent on a HEPA filter.
