Using my portable heating system is my favorite thing to do whenever I can’t get the temperature right in my office.
Trust me, that is frequently.
Where I used to work, which is only a few blocks from where I am now, both of us also had Heating in addition to Air Conditioning problems. There was the executive manager’s office upstairs, and the air conditioning system was controlled by the temperature control in the VP’s office downstairs. It was always entirely freezing in the VP’s office because the guy upstairs was hot-natured! Plus, tepid air rises, so his office was always hot. I entirely thought it was going to be the only arena that was enjoy that, but lo and behold, my current workplace has all sorts of Heating in addition to Air Conditioning quirks, too. No matter how low my boss sets his temperature control, it never gets cooler than 70 degrees. That is too tepid for his comfort. In my office, the air conditioning system seems to blast out on me enjoy a rocket blast, so I am often cold while my boss is dripping with sweat through his shirt. In fact, you can often find me with a portable heating system jammed in and blowing tepid air on me from the left while the air conditioning system blasts freezing air from from the right. I know it is not enjoyable to waste energy enjoy that, so I wish the a/c worked enjoy it is supposed to… Granted, our electric bill is included in our rent, so it doesn’t entirely cost us anything, but it is pretty darn discouraging. I recognize I spent about $25 on my little portable heater, and it has been the best purchase ever.
