Ways to extend the lifespan of an HVAC system

Joshua was a new homeowner and still had many things to learn.

For starters, there was the issue of air conditioning. After living with his sister all his life, Joshua never had the urge to learn any of this stuff. She always seemed to care about everything, including the bills and maintenance work. But, thankfully, she was willing to hold Joshua’s hand and help him navigate this new world. Joshua’s sister insisted he had to get a service agreement with an area HVAC company. Having such an agreement in place meant he’d have his air conditioning checked two or three times a year. In addition, the HVAC workers would prioritize repairing his air conditioning in case it ever developed any issues. Joshua had to purchase a new air conditioning unit for the house. He recalls visiting the HVAC supplier and noting all the prices. It wasn’t cheap to purchase and install a new air conditioner. So, after getting the right HVAC company, an AC worker who came to his house advised him on ways to extend the unit’s lifespan. The AC worker insisted Joshua should never miss a scheduled HVAC maintenance. This was especially crucial in the month leading to summer and winter. In addition, he should make sure never to try and fix the unit on his own. Air conditioning is now more complex, and DIY projects would only worsen if there were a need for AC repair. Lastly, the AC worker always informed Joshua to ensure he worked with blinds and curtains in the summer. These would help keep the house cool and not overwork the cooling unit.
