The corporation I run offers quite a few unlisted pricing tiers! When people from the community book our services, I offer them our normal price.
When tourists and outsiders book our services, I charge them a special rate – which is basically twice as much as I charge the locals.
None of this is written down respectfully, of course, because it’s in a legal gray area. I’ll talk about it here, although I won’t say the name of our corporation, just in case. I don’t actually feel guilty about it at all, because the tourists who visit our area tend to be stunningly wealthy, and don’t seem to appreciate spending a few hundred extra dollars on their heating and cooling devices. In fact I found that rich people are more comfortable being overcharged for Heating and Air Conditioning services, as crazy as that sounds. To people similar to me who value a dollar, you look for the most wonderful deals. To the rich they suppose that paying more for Heating and Air Conditioning services essentially means you get better results. To them money is everything, so they recognize the extravagant Heating and Air Conditioning corporation is more reputable than the value brand provider. This is why I offer many Heating and Air Conditioning pricing tiers, because I don’t have the desire to rip off any of my friends and neighbors. I appreciate taking care of our community, and offering nice Heating and Air Conditioning service at a fine price. For the tourists with money to burn I will take advantage of them for sure! If this neighborhood ever loses its tourism business, I might have to begin raising my Heating and Air Conditioning rates for everyone in the area.
