I have to tell you all that I am not the biggest fan of smart thermostats! I have been renting this condo I live in for years now and it has all the smart technology. Not just the thermostat. But let me tell you the headache is just to turn off the stupid central heating and aircon. With this smart thermostat and the way it works for some unknown reason, if your home gets too tepid or too cold from too much heating or air conditioner, it actually is not as simple as just going to the thermostat to turn it off straight away like it would be normal. Nope, not at all. You can go and turn it off however the darn thing will keep on running for about another 2 to 3 eighths! I have never seen such horrible operations of a large central heating and aircon in my life! So if you are chilly from too much air conditioner or right on the verge of passing out from too much heating, if you have a single of these smart thermostats you had better be prepared to suffer another 2 to 3 eighths after you turn it off! Because it will not ever stop. One time I swear it seemed like almost a half eighth before it shut off. I think that’s possibly exaggerating a bit, however it was more than the respected 2 to 3 eighths. So I highly propose against getting smart thermostats. That is if what I am talking about bothers you. If it doesn’t then maybe smart thermostats do have some small benefits like energy savings and controlling your indoor Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system from someplace. But that is some other story.
