Always make sure the gas furnace and fireplace are ready for the cold season

One of my favorite holidays happens to be Thanksgiving.

I love when the family comes around from all over to get together and enjoy a feast! We all get to catch up with things and talk about what we are grateful for, and I absolutely love that. I also love that we are able to watch football together because that’s something we have always enjoyed immensely as a family. One of the most important things to me is to make sure that the HVAC system is working great and the fireplace is ready to go for the cold weather. This is why every single fall season, I make sure that we get our gas furnace tuned up and I have a chimney sweep regularly come out to take care of our fireplace to make sure it’s good to go. I always work especially hard before the cold weather to get all of the wood split and stacked up to be put in the fireplace. It’s a regular tradition for us to have our fireplace decorated and have a fire going in the fireplace for every Thanksgiving. We don’t use the fireplace every single day through the cold season, but we do make sure to use the fireplace on all the important occasions. Honestly, I would love to use the fireplace every single day, but I’m never able to stack up enough wood to be able to do that. It’s a lot of work, and that’s why I always need to know that the gas furnace is working great so we never have to resort to just using the fireplace.
