Caught the HVAC problem just in time

I have to say that I’m actually liking the new normal as we get toward the end of the pandemic.

Now, that may have a lot to do with the fact that I’m no longer cooped up inside the air conditioning of my house non stop.

For sure, that will make anyone very thankful and much more willing to go with a new normal. But honestly, when all this started, all I could see was bad stuff. And there was plenty of bad stuff to be concerned about. Really, just living and working inside the central air conditioning of my home wasn’t the biggest thing really. There was the fact that I had to take a pay cut to keep my job. And it took me a lot of energy, effort and too much frustration to get the working remotely thing down pat. Not working from the zone controlled HVAC comfort of the office was a drag. I didn’t like the online meeting thing and I hated how I was working. There was no structure and I didn’t even have a desk. Finally, I did what I should have done right away. I made myself a home office and got on a schedule. Clearing out the guest room to be my home office was the start of making the new normal work for me. Over the ensuing months, I found that I not only was getting the hang of it but I was doing better work at a higher volume. The boss was pleased big time so it was easy to just stay working remotely when the office reopened. And my office window is right next to the HVAC cabinet which allowed me to catch an HVAC problem well before it became a big HVAC repair.
