My girlfriend and I have been expecting our first baby.
- She was due last Thursday, but the doctor told her to go home.
They said she wasn’t closed or ready. I’ve been walking on eggshells every single day, because I had no idea when she was going to start labor. We were supposed to have another appointment with the doctor tomorrow, but my wife went into labor today. I was working on a commercial AC repair when the boss called me. He told me to leave the commercial AC repair immediately to go to the hospital. He told me that he was going to send someone else to work on the commercial AC repair. I told the business owner that I had a personal emergency and then I left the building. I hope my boss sent someone over to the plant to help with the commercial AC repair. I would hate to lose a customer because I left in the middle of the job. I was so excited that there was no way I was going to stick around and wait for my coworker to show up. After being 5 days late from her due date, I was just as ready as she was to see our son. I got to the hospital and the doctors told me that my wife was doing very well. They took me to her room and the two of us started our birthing plan. 6 hours later, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. We named the boy Jack, after my father. He passed away a couple of years ago and he was one of my favorite people in the whole world. I always knew I was going to name my son after my father.
