I still use minimal face masks whenever I workout at the gym

I think that the best way to avoid contracting COVID is through wearing an N-95 or KN-95 mask.

I have multiple friends who are at home sick right now with the Omicron strain and they’re all vaccinated with booster shots.

I still haven’t gotten my third shot yet, but I try to stay vigilant and wear my masks in public spaces. It’s crazy how some people tend to think they’re invincible, but they haven’t heard of these terrifying “long COVID” cases where people feel permanently damaged months or years after first contracting the illness. I know several people who are struggling with their symptoms months after they first tested positive. Some of the people I know with Omicron right now aren’t doing nearly as well as others would make you believe. My sister is sick and can barely get out of bed every morning despite working a remote job from home. Even after I get my third shot of the vaccine, I plan on sticking with my current mitigation techniques. I see most of the people at the gym working out without any kind of face covering. Even though it’s admittedly uncomfortable, I still wear a minimal face mask whenever I workout at the local gym. I don’t care if it restricts my breathing or makes me look stupid, I’m determined to stay safe and avoid long term changes to my health. I wouldn’t even go to the local gyms if I had enough money to build a miniature gym in my garage, but that will have to be a project for a later date when I have more money saved. For now I’ll keep going to the local gym with a mask over my face.
