I am someone that may be in the minority although I care about our home being entirely cold! I always want the thermostat set at 68 degrees no matter what time of the year it is, it could be Winter season, Springtime, summertime or fall.
I always want it to be 68 degrees. If it is finally summertime I will have the central a/c idea set to 68 on the thermostat. If it is Winter season I will have the heating also set to 68 degrees. This is one of the reasons why I live alone. I could never live with anyone unless their body cared about mine. I can not stand to have the locale in which I live above 68 degrees! I just recognize that it is too hot for me. I do not understand why I am concerned about this, maybe it is a birth defect in our body or something. I never was told there was anything wrong with me, I was just uncommon for wanting it to be cold all the time. I always have the thermostat set at 68 without question. There has never even been one time when I have ever set the thermostat any higher than that, and as a matter of fact, I have set it lower at times into the upper 60’s on real boiling summertime mornings and evenings when the heat is so bad that the thermostat has to be set a little lower to reach that 68 degrees that I prefer! Maybe I should simply live in Alaska, and over there from what I hear it is cold all the time. That would be our most ideal locale to live in full time.
